Hey there, I'm Karla Alvarez! I'm an Information Sciences graduate with a real passion for research and lottery games. My goal is to share with you the best strategies, tips and interesting facts about the exciting world of luck and odds.

Thinking about playing the Florida Lotto? Great choice! It’s a fantastic way to test your luck, and who knows – you could be the next big winner. But before you dive in, it’s important to understand how the Florida Lotto works and what steps you can take to increase your chances of winning.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to play the Florida Lotto easily and effectively so you’re ready for your next big chance.

How to Play the Florida Lotto

Playing the Florida Lotto couldn’t be easier. Just pick six numbers from 1 to 53. You can choose your own numbers, or if you’re short on time, you can use the Quick Pick option. With Quick Pick, the machine randomly selects six numbers for you.

Want to pick your own numbers but don’t know where to start? No worries – ask Clover! Clover is our AI-powered chatbot designed to help you make strategic choices. It uses data from past draws and mathematical models, like hot and cold number analysis, to give you the best suggestions. Plus, Clover knows about different cultures, religions, disciplines, and superstitions from around the world, making it a unique tool to improve your odds.

But wait, there’s more! Just like Powerball has its Power Play, the Florida Lotto has its own multiplier. Each ticket has an automatically generated “multiplier” number that can increase non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five or even ten times. The difference from Powerball is that in the Florida Lotto, the multiplier comes automatically with your ticket at no extra cost.

How much does a Florida Lotto ticket cost?

The price of a Florida Lotto ticket is $2 per play. This ticket automatically includes the prize multiplier, which allows you to increase non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 10 times at no additional cost.

There are also two optional add-ons that you can add to your ticket:

  • EZmatch: For an additional $1 per game, you can add EZmatch. This option gives you the chance to win instant prizes.
  • Double Play: For an additional $1, you can activate Double Play, which enters your numbers into an additional Florida Lotto drawing with a top prize of up to $250,000.

Florida Lotto tickets can be purchased at any of the more than 13,000 authorized Florida Lottery retailers. Please note that the Florida Lottery does not sell tickets by mail, fax, or online and does not offer a subscription service. To play, you’ll need to visit one of the authorized retailers.

To find your nearest lottery retailer, use the Lottonia App.

Florida Lotto Extra Options

Not sure which Extra Option to choose to play the Florida Lotto? Don’t worry, we’ll break down how each one works so you can make the best choice.

How does Florida Lotto Double Play work?

When you add Double Play to your ticket, your numbers are entered into a second Florida Lotto drawing with a top prize of up to $250,000. Enabling Double Play costs an extra $1 and the drawing takes place right after the main Florida Lotto drawing.

The best part? The prize multiplier printed on your ticket also applies to the Double Play drawing. So if you match five numbers, you could win up to $35,000.

How do you play EZmatch in Florida Lotto?

For an additional $1 per play, you can add EZmatch to your Florida Lotto ticket. When you enable this option, six additional EZmatch numbers will be printed on your ticket, just below your chosen lottery numbers. Each of these EZmatch numbers will have a corresponding prize amount listed next to it. If one of your EZmatch numbers matches one of your lotto numbers, you’ll win that prize.

For example, if you select 28 as one of your lottery numbers and one of your EZmatch numbers is also 28, you’ll win the prize associated with that number.
